Bellevue Art Museum's exhibitions and programs focus on art from the region and the national and international influences that shape new art in the Northwest. The museum's new building, designed by Steven Holl, will open in January 2001.

Burke Museum Located on the campus of the University of Washington, the Burke Museum is a major national resource for information on the natural and cultural history of the Pacific Northwest.

Children's Museum

Frye Art Museum Founded in 1952, the Frye Art Museum was recently remodeled to include larger facilities: a museum store, auditorium, the Gallery Café, and a two-story education wing which offers classes to all ages and skill levels. The Frye collection contains 19th and 20th-Century European and American paintings as well as an important collection of works from the Munich Secession.

Henry Art Gallery located in the University District on the University of Washington Campus. They currently have their newsletters on-line.

Nordic Heritage Museum focuses on Scandinavian cultural contributions to life in the Pacific Northwest from the 18th-century to the present.

Seattle Art Museum / Seattle Asian Art Museum has a collection of more than 20,000 objects representing a wide range of art--from ancient Egyptian reliefs to contemporary American installations using photography and video. The collection features Asian, African, Northwest Coast Native American, Modern, and European art.

Wing Luke Asian Museum The Wing Luke Asian Museum promotes and preserves the history and traditions of Asian Pacific American communities and builds bridges of understanding among diverse groups of people.
